Yes, it’s true.
The city just told us that all men and women 21 years of age and older should be armed with 24/7 access to free booster shots.
Does anyone really feel that we can’t have 5 a.m. military deployments, war dead returning in caskets and F-15 crashes anymore?
Does anyone really feel that we can’t send aircraft carriers, nuclear bombs and stealth bombers to the Central Command fighting campaigns?
Could the city’s health commissioner, Dr. Mary Bassett, honestly believe that we should treat half of New York’s children like weapons of mass destruction instead of cherished children and people of all ages?
Listen, Doctor, I have a big-ass phobia about anything having to do with chickenpox. I should not have to see a commercial about how they cure chickenpox, right?
Pardon me if I don’t put the same kind of trust in the city that I do in parents.
If anyone out there really thinks children are more dangerous than adults – well, it’s OK.
You win. We have no problem giving “freak” children free booster shots.
Anyway, good luck on all of this. You’re going to get a lot of love from the schools, probably more than you know.
