Disney is putting out its official roadmap for its streaming service. Disney+ is set to launch in June 2022. On Thursday, they announced the shows and movies that will be available to stream. From new live-action Star Wars shows to Marvel blockbusters and beloved animated classics, here’s a look at the lineup:
JONBENET: FIRST CHRISTMAS
Live-action comedy based on the award-winning, critically-acclaimed 2005 film. Full circle for little orphaned girl, played by Julie Andrews, played by Anjelica Huston.
SHE LOVES ME
Anthology drama based on the worldwide best-selling musical written by Joe Iconis. The show is told through the eyes of a saleswoman in Rotterdam and her unique interactions with a mysterious man.
STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI
Live-action adventure with a major global reach, written and directed by Colin Trevorrow and starring Daisy Ridley as Rey and John Boyega as Finn.
LOST IN SPACE
Premieres with a 12-episode first season of original sci-fi adventure from Matt Groening. Set 200 years in the future, a family is stranded on a distant planet with the only means of communication being the electronic devices they carry.
DISNEY FAMILY ADVENTURES
Beginning with two shows, including “Over the Moon and Back” and “Martha Speaks.”
Live-action animated series inspired by the worlds of TV classics from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, including the series “The Andy Griffith Show,” “The Donna Reed Show” and “Gilligan’s Island.”
THE LITTLE ONE
New live-action drama series from Ava DuVernay and based on the children’s book “One Long Night.” The show will take place in New York City during the civil rights movement.
BROTHERS IN ARMS
Lifetime original movie starring Kevin James as Howard Brackett, an airline pilot who gets a new look after a pair of injections that turn him into an elf and Darth Vader’s nephew.
GIRLS DREAM ABOUT BASEBALL
Premieres in November 2020 with six episodes.
Live-action comedy starring Christina Applegate as Gloria Swanson and Billy Eichner as Joe DiMaggio.
THE HAVES AND THE HAVE NOTS
Brand new Disney comedy starring Eva Longoria as one of four working-class sisters who find themselves in New York City.
HOW TO LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS (FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE)
Live-action comedy starring Sarah Chalke, who plays Elaine, a single mother trying to raise her teenage children.
New live-action drama following new characters in a new location in the 1960s.
THE SHERLOCK HOLMES PROJECT
Live-action drama from Gatiss and Moffat, a series centered on Holmes and Watson that follows them as they solve their latest case.
Newly announced show that centers on Carly Chase (Dawn Olivieri), a rockstar who’s not quite who she seems. She’s trying to get away from bad habits, like a love life, but finds out she might just have a destiny of her own that she doesn’t quite understand.
THE MAGIC SCHOOL OF SPACES
Disney+ Original Animated Series based on the award-winning novel by Gabrielle Roth, created by Andrea Nix Fine and Nick Becton. It follows a young inventor and his three friends as they are expelled from their magic school. From the same team behind Disney Junior’s series “Bun in the Box.”
